Our Story

Ycatman is not a reference to cats. The name comes from the founder's childhood nickname and carries a quiet meaning, something like a cat in the rain. It reflects a sense of independence, softness, and moving forward with quiet strength.

Founded by Yucan Zhang in 2025, Ycatman is built on the idea that clothing should represent more than a trend. It is about freedom. The freedom to design without rules. The freedom to think, express, and live with peace and dignity.

The concept behind Ycatman has been taking shape for years. It is shaped by real experiences and a quiet response to how the world often tries to define people too early, too narrowly. The colors and shapes of the world should be yours to decide. We believe fashion is not just about what we wear, but what we stand for.

Our Mission

Yucan's background includes time as a volunteer at the therapeutic riding centers, where he worked closely with children with special needs. Later, during years of travel, he witnessed the conditions of stray animals in different parts of the world. In many places, they live without safety or care and often face violence or neglect.

These experiences made it clear. A brand, even a small one, has the ability to help. Ycatman aims to do that in a simple way. They may be overlooked, but they are never forgotten. And in every act of care, we keep their stories alive.

We believe every life deserves to be seen. Some curl up on street corners, some endure fear and loneliness. We hope to offer warmth and comfort through every piece we create, whether through donations, building shelters, or even taking small steps toward change.
